Reading plans for November

November is another of those months with multiple challenges, and I’m hoping to take part in these three:

  • #NovNov26 – Novellas in November hosted by Rebecca and Cathy
  • NonFiction November hosted by, amongst others, Liz and Frances.
  • German Literature Reading Month XVI, hosted by Caroline and Tony, in memory of previous co-host Lizzy who sadly died last year.

Naturally I’m hoping I can overlap these three. However, the doorbell has literally just rung and a rather damp postie handed me parcels with these three beauties I ordered which’ll go to the top of my novellas pile.

Another new acquisition is top of my NonFiction pile – can’t resist a new take on the Beatles (I seem to always read 1 Bowie and 1 Beatles book every year). Gary Kemp bought Brian Epstein’s address book at auction, and was persuaded that there was a book in it. Alongside that is my shelf with books written in German – which includes several novellas.

Then I have tons of novellas and some short nonfiction dotted throughout my other shelves. So I have a rich choice to pick from. I’m looking forward to it.

Gosh, lots of really good options, Annabel! November is such a busy month, but I am hoping to squeeze in GLM, Novellas, Non-fiction, Sci Fi and Margarat Atwood Reading Month – phew! Fortunately, some of my books count for more than one…
