I’ll be back with reviews during the week – it’s been a bit hectic – and I’m doing the finishing touches for our school mag still. For now, I’d like to highlight the Renard Press’s Christmas card classics. From 2020 onwards they have produced a lovely little Christmas book, sendable as a large letter, containing a classic Christmas short story. Many thanks indeed to Karen for sending me the past four of them – they are very much appreciated and beautifully produced. In order, they are:
- The Burglar’s Christmas by Willa Cather
- The Christmas Dinner by Washington Irving
- The Gift of the Magi by O Henry
- The Fir Tree by Hans Christian Andersen
- Dancing Dan’s Christmas by Damon Runyon
And what’s more 25% goes to small charity Three Peas, which works with refugees and asylum seekers in Europe.
They’re lovely things, aren’t they? A story, a gift and something which helps others – has to be good!
I bought two packs the first year and sent them to everyone, but didn’t keep it up – so thank you again. x
They look great choices for Christmas
I shall be reading this year’s one, the Damon Runyon ,in bed on Christmas morning. A treat in store.
