We’re celebrating The Man Booker Prize at Shiny New Books this week, as the prize gears up to its 50th year with the Golden Booker being announced at the weekend (I’m going to the prize ceremony in London). Enjoy the prize ceremony, Annabel. Rooting fo any of the finalists in particular??
The only one I’ve read of the five is The English Patient – I remember enjoying it a lot, so I voted for that. I suspect that Wolf Hall may win, but Moon Tiger is much loved too… I am also going to one of the sessions earlier in the afternoon – Roddy Doyle and Paul Beatty talking about comedy in literature – looking forward to that a lot.
I enjoyed Roddy Doyle’s session at Hay. He’s an entertaining speaker. Enjoy the prize ceremony!
Goody! I will 🙂
Such a brilliant idea – and enjoy the prize ceremony!
