I have a stunner of a spoof letter for you today. This was found in amongst my Mum’s papers, but not just one copy – I’ve come across several during my filing!
What makes it even funnier is that this copy had a typed circulation list attached plus a handwritten note from my Mum explaining how she’d contacted the Rev to accept his kind offer, and that he suggested she bring a friend along – any volunteers? One of those on the circulation list had ticked his name off and made a note beside it saying “Noted and personally insulted.” I can only hope that was also in jest!
Office life in the 1970s – what fun they had…

Somehow that’s more creative than just hitting the ‘forward’ button!
I love that – what a wonderful find! As Ali says much more fun that so viral ‘jokes’.
It took more commitment to carry out a spoof in those days – typing and postage costs
In the days of spam, the effort put into this one makes it seem all the more real doesn’t it!
