Stephen King’s Magnum Opus – The Dark Tower
I read the seven volumes, comprising over 4000 pages, of King’s Dark Tower epic fantasy over a period of four years. All the posts were ‘lost’ in my domain transfer. I’ve restored them into their original places in the time-line, linked below.
It’s been a couple of years since I finished reading this series, but I can say that it has grown on me. I would probably give the first and fourth volumes 10/10 now, and the more I think about the ending, the more audacious it appears and I congratulate Stephen King on it!

My Eldest Child is a huge fan of these – in fact, he’s liked several of the books you’ve reviewed that I then got him as gifts, so you obviously have a lot in common! 🙂
Thank you Karen – I’m really glad the recommendations hold up! SF & Fantasy were my first real bookish loves and I wish I had time to read more, but these days I particularly look out for SF&F that crosses the boundaries of genre fiction (like the Southern Reach trilogy).
