Fourteen Years A-Bloggin’!

Today my blog is fourteen-years-old! I wasn’t going to make a big thing of it, but there are some nice round numbers in the stats. From 17th September 2008 to today:

  • I’ve posted just over 2000 times. There are a whole lot of lost posts that didn’t migrate properly when changing platforms and web hosting, so it’s probably a couple of hundred more.
  • I’ve read over 1700 books – 1708 according to the trusted spreadsheet, and I’ve reviewed all but a handful of them!
  • Had three blog name changes: From Gaskella on Blogspot originally, moving to WordPress to Annabel’s House of Books which evolved to AnnaBookBel which is where it will stay.
  • Have acquired a four-figure TBR library!

And I have no intention of stopping now!

A huge thank you to anyone who has stumbled across my blog over the years. An even bigger thank you to regular readers and commenters – you know who you are, and I love you all.

I think survival is a good thing to celebrate in parlous times, but accomplishment even more so! Well done on the quantity but we’re also all here for the quality, of which there is a plenitude, for which I for one am grateful. 🙂

Congratulations! Fourteen years is a huge achievement. It will be thirteen for me in October – I hope we both have many more blogging anniversaries to come!

Congratulations! Not only because of the longevity, but the percentage of books read, then written about, AND all your work on Shiny New Books. Impressive! Here’s to many more!🍾
